Tours

The terms and conditions under which Outback Spirit Tours operates are detailed below. Payment of the tour deposit represents an understanding and acceptance of these conditions.

  1. Bookings & Deposits: To confirm a tour booking a deposit of $300.00 per person must be paid within 7 days of the reservation. The balance of the tour fare is to be paid 48 days prior to the date of departure.
  2. Tour Fares: Tour fares quoted are per person twin share. Single supplements are applicable for single travellers wanting single accommodation. The tour fares quoted are in Australian Dollars (A$) and include Australian Goods and Services Tax.
  3. Cancellations: Cancellation fees will be levied relative to the amount of notice given and must be received in writing. Transferring to another departure date is treated as a cancellation if the tour positions cannot be filled by other passengers before departure.

  4. Travel Insurance: We strongly advise you take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances, for example cancellation, loss of luggage, etc. We will be pleased to assist with a travel insurance company for you to contact.
  5. Luggage Limits: Each passenger is entitled to take one medium sized suitcase weighing no more than 16kg. The sum of the case's width, length and depth is not to exceed 150cm. Passengers may also take on board the coach one hand-luggage item to be stored in the overhead luggage racks. Weight of hand luggage is not to exceed 3kg per person. Luggage limits are enforced for every tour. Passengers will be asked to leave their excess baggage behind in the event that the weight of the luggage exceeds our limits. All baggage is at 'owner's risk'
  6. Smoking: Smoking is not permitted on board Outback Spirit tour coaches as per Government regulations.
  7. General Conditions & Itinerary Changes: Occasionally it may be necessary to alter or amend itineraries, accommodation or sightseeing arrangements from those published with little or no notice. This may be due to road conditions, weather, safety factors and other operational considerations at the time and is always made in the best interests of your comfort and safety. Outback Spirit is unable to guarantee exact arrival or departure times and is not liable for any failure to make connections with any other service or guarantee the operation of any particular service. In the case of breakdown or other unforeseen circumstances, Outback Spirit reserves the right to charter other transport companies and to make any other changes to ensure the operation of the tour.
  8. Responsibilities: Outback Spirit advises that the service it provides is for the booking and packaging of goods and services provided by other operators such as hotels, motels, attractions, cruise lines, airlines and other transportation companies, and accordingly Outback Spirit will not be held responsible and will be excluded from any liability for any loss, damage, omission or acts of negligence or otherwise committed by these operators.
  9. Outdoor Activities: On tours including activities such as bushwalking, trekking, swimming and snorkeling, passengers understand and accept that degrees of risk are involved in regards to these activities.
  10. Seat Allocations: Each tour operates a daily seat rotation system to ensure passengers enjoy different seating positions in the coach each day.
  11. Remote Areas: The passenger understands that some itineraries include visits to and overnight stays in areas which are extremely remote. Furthermore, the passenger understands that professional medical attention in remote areas can take longer to obtain due to this remoteness.
  12. Passengers will not be permitted to continue on tour when, in the opinion of the tour leaders, the passenger is adversely affecting the enjoyment and/or safety of other passengers, for whatever reason.
  13. It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to ascertain whether or not their health is in a state that will allow them to complete the tour successfully.
  14. Enjoyment: Outback Spirit will take all reasonable steps to provide an enjoyable tour. However, no liability will be accepted for any loss of enjoyment experienced by passengers due to circumstances which are out of our control.
